Lisa | Armchair

Lisa is inspired by the perhaps most iconic product designed by Gio Ponti: the Superleggera chair, a piece which has marked the history of design and which solidifies its functional essence and timeless aura that makes it still perfect in any environment. The name is a tender reminder of the figure and the personality of Gio Ponti’s daughter, Lisa Licitra Ponti. Accustomed since she was a young child to studying the work of her father, from whom she inherited a passion for art, she had a delicate and elegant character and appearance, just like the chair dedicated to her.

Lisa features a unique construction approach: the two symmetrical sides are entirely obtained from a single board (in walnut or popular) in which the only element that emerges is the arm, wide and comfortable, but with a rigorous shape. The chair may be covered in fabric or in Poltrona Frau leather in the colours on the price list.

The lounge version evokes the graphic and light design of the chair and increases the size of the armrest, endowing it with a very pleasant and elegant appearance.

Lisa reinterprets the essence and purity of the Ponti Superleggera, creating an iconic piece that exploits material to its utmost potential, in terms of both construction and technical expression.
