Gessi
company history

Gessi is an Italian design company that has transformed the perception of bathroom and kitchen fixtures from purely functional elements into objects of architectural beauty and personal well-being. Founded in 1992 by entrepreneur and visionary Gian Luca Gessi in the peaceful countryside of Valsesia, Northern Italy, the brand began as a small artisanal workshop with a bold ambition: to bring creativity, emotion and individuality into spaces often overlooked by design.

From the beginning, Gessi rejected mass production in favor of a refined, craft-driven approach rooted in precision engineering and contemporary aesthetics. The company quickly gained attention for its sleek, minimalist faucet designs, which combined sculptural forms with cutting-edge technology. This balance between beauty and innovation became the signature of the brand. Over the years, Gessi expanded its capabilities, establishing its own vertically integrated production facility known as the Gessi Park — a sustainable manufacturing campus surrounded by nature, powered by solar energy and designed with deep respect for the environment.

The turning point in the brand’s philosophy was the development of the concept Private Wellness. Gessi reimagined bathrooms not simply as utilitarian rooms but as emotional sanctuaries that nurture the senses. Collections such as Rettangolo, Goccia, Inciso, Anello and Hi-Fi introduced a new language of design for water, shaped by texture, proportion and tactile sensation. Every product is engineered to create a unique emotional experience, encouraging a deeper connection between the user and the space.

Today, Gessi is present in more than 80 countries and collaborates with world-renowned architects and luxury developers. Its creations are featured in the Burj Khalifa, Four Seasons Hotels, private villas in Dubai and Milan, and exclusive superyachts across Europe. Yet, despite its global success, Gessi remains true to its Italian origins, producing every piece in-house and insisting on uncompromising quality and timeless design. Gessi is not only a symbol of refined luxury but a celebration of water, design and the art of living well.
