Adam D. Tihany

Adam D. Tihany, originally from Romania and raised in Israel, is celebrated as one of the leading figures in hospitality design globally. His sophisticated and often innovative creations stem from his distinct multicultural background. After completing his studies at the Politecnico di Milano’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning in Italy, Tihany gained valuable experience by working with various design firms across Europe before making the move to New York City.

In 1976, Tihany founded his own studio, Tihany Design, which took a multidisciplinary approach to design. The studio covers a wide range of projects, including commercial and residential interiors, as well as furniture, products, exhibitions, and graphic design.

Founded in 1999 by Ed Ng and Terence Ngan, AB Concept is an internationally recognized interior design and architecture studio known for its luxurious, narrative-driven interiors across hospitality, commercial, and residential sectors. The studio's approach is likened to a chef crafting a recipe—deeply exploring local cultures and experimenting with textures, forms, and design techniques. This results in bespoke environments that are meticulously detailed and tailored to create memorable experiences.

Operating globally from offices in Hong Kong, Taipei, and Milan, AB Concept has completed projects in over 30 cities, including London, Milan, New York, and Beijing. The studio’s prestigious clientele includes renowned hospitality brands like Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, and Ritz-Carlton. Noteworthy recent projects include the Paper Moon Giardino restaurant in Milan and Lalique’s flagship store in Shanghai.

Beyond interior design, AB Concept has ventured into product design, collaborating with Tai Ping on a couture rug collection and with Czech glassmaker Lasvit on hand-blown lighting pieces, reinforcing their commitment to creating holistic, luxury experiences.
