The original company, registered as Gianni Versace Donna, will grow into the global luxury house headquartered today at Piazza Luigi Einaudi 4, Milan.

Move into housewares

Versace expands beyond fashion into jewellery, china and textiles for the home — the first foothold of what will later be formalised as Versace Home.

1988

The Greca (Greek Key) motif debuts

Gianni Versace introduces the Greek Key in the Fall-Winter 1988 ready-to-wear collection. Decades later, La Greca returns as a defining pattern across Versace Home upholstery and bed linen.

Inside

Construction

Fluted lacquered wood column base

Base in lacquered wood with fluted (vertical-grooved) column form — the classical Acropolis reference, same fluted-column geometric language as the Acropolis floor lamps (id 39994). The brand's framing: "The fluted base is crafted in lacquered wood with a glossy brushed finish and embellished with the iconic 3D Metal Medusa logo in polished Gold." Six published lacquer colours: Black, Ivory, Arctic White, Pearl Grey, Stone, Quartz Grey. The fluting is the family's defining structural and aesthetic move.

3D Metal Medusa logo on the column base

Decorative element: 3D Metal Medusa logo applied to the fluted column base. Four published metal finishes: polished Gold, polished Chrome, Bronze, or Moonlight. The Medusa is applied to the column at a specific position — visible at standing approach beside seated furniture. The Moonlight finish is unusual in the Versace Home catalogue (rare elsewhere; appears here on Acropolis coffee tables and on the Tholos table id 39961's steel detail) — cool-tone metallic, distinct from chrome's high shine.

Top — stratified or thick extraclear glass

Glass top option — two glass families. Stratified glass (multi-layer) back-lacquered in Dark Grey. Thick extraclear glass back-lacquered in Arctic White, Pearl Grey, Quartz Grey, or Night Sun (4 colours). The back-lacquering treats the underside of the glass with the colour, so the top reads as the lacquered colour through the transparent glass — different from a coloured-glass top. The stratified Dark Grey reads dramatic; the thick extraclear in Arctic White reads bright and architectural.

Top — marble option (10 colours)

Marble top alternative: 10 published colours — Marquina Black, Carrara Gioia, Sahara Noir, Valentine Grey, Super White, Calcite Blue, Green Ming, Calacatta Gold, Oriental Wave, Bronze Fantasy. Spans dark dramatic (Marquina Black, Sahara Noir), bright architectural (Carrara Gioia, Super White), warm-tone luxury (Calacatta Gold, Bronze Fantasy), and exotic (Oriental Wave, Green Ming). Choose marble for tactile architectural register; choose glass for cleaner contemporary register.

Three SKUs — round at three height registers

Three published configurations, all round. Ø 62 × H 53 — tall accent / side-table register. Ø 89 × H 44 — standard coffee-table register. Ø 121 × H 33 — low / lounge-pit register. The three SKUs map to three distinct height tiers (53 / 44 / 33 H), giving compositional flexibility — mix the three for a multi-tier composition in a single lounge, or specify one as the primary anchor. Diameter increases as height decreases (classic stepped column proportions).

Fluted column base + 3D Metal Medusa detail

Fluted column base + 3D Metal Medusa detail

Detail of the family's defining feature — the fluted lacquered wood column base with the 3D Metal Medusa logo applied. The vertical fluting is visible as parallel concave grooves down the column; the brand's signature is positioned on the column at standing-approach height. Pair with the Acropolis floor lamps (id 39994) for a coordinated Acropolis family installation — same fluted-column vocabulary across furniture and lighting.

Modules

Tall side-table — Ø 62 × H 53

Tall side-table — Ø 62 × H 53

Ø 62 × H 53 cm

Tall configuration — 53 H is taller than typical coffee tables, sized as a tall accent / side-table beside seating. The Ø 62 diameter is generous for a side-table (typical side-tables are Ø 40–50). Use as a tall drinks-and-magazine companion beside an armchair (Acantho id 39634, Vanitas re-edition id 39975, Stiletto bergère id 406), or as the visual end-cap to a sofa cluster.

Standard coffee — Ø 89 × H 44

Standard coffee — Ø 89 × H 44

Ø 89 × H 44 cm

Standard coffee-table tier. 44 H is conventional coffee-table height; Ø 89 round footprint anchors a 3-seater sofa with armchairs flanking. The fluted column base and the chosen top finish (glass or marble) read as the lounge's primary visual centrepiece. Pair with the Stage coffee table (id 39985) low square 122 × 122 × 33 H for a multi-tier composition (round + square in different heights).

Low lounge — Ø 121 × H 33

Low lounge — Ø 121 × H 33

Ø 121 × H 33 cm

Low / lounge-pit configuration. 33 H sits below standard coffee-table height — sized for sofa-pit registers where multiple sofas surround a central low surface and the table sits below cushion-edge. The Ø 121 generous round footprint anchors a 4-piece sofa cluster from the centre. Use the round geometry (rather than the square 122 × 122 × 33 H of The Stage coffee table id 39985) when curved seating surrounds the table for visual rhyme.

Acropolis family — Versace Home 2025 Collection at Palazzo Versace

The Acropolis family debuted at Salone del Mobile / Milano Design Week 2025 at Palazzo Versace, Via Gesù 12, Milan. The family includes the Acropolis coffee tables (this product) and the Acropolis floor lamps (id 39994) — the fluted-column reference applied to both furniture and lighting. The Versace Home 2025 collection emphasised classical and architectural references; Acropolis is one of the most explicit classical translations, the Greek Acropolis citadel rendered as residential furniture and lighting.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Different family vocabulary. Acropolis (this product) uses a fluted lacquered wood column base referencing classical fluted columns, with three round SKUs (Ø 62 × 53 / Ø 89 × 44 / Ø 121 × 33). The Stage (id 39985) uses curved wood legs joined by a metal-Medusa joint, with one round and two squares. Tholos (id 39961) is a much larger family — round dining + lounge tier and rectangular dining (250–540 cm), with sculptural fluted-column legs (similar fluting motif but applied to dining table scale). Each family applies a different classical reference; choose by the room's broader vocabulary.

Ø 62 × 53 H is the tall side-table register — beside an armchair, end-of-sofa accent, or single-statement piece in a smaller room. Ø 89 × 44 H is the standard coffee-table tier — anchors a 3-seater sofa with armchairs flanking. Ø 121 × 33 H is the low / lounge-pit register — central anchor for a multi-sofa cluster from the centre. Mix multiple SKUs for a multi-tier composition: Ø 121 × 33 as the central low anchor + Ø 62 × 53 as the tall side-accent.

Glass top reads softer and more contemporary — easier to clean, lighter visually. Five glass options available: stratified Dark Grey, or thick extraclear in Arctic White, Pearl Grey, Quartz Grey, or Night Sun. Marble top reads as the architectural anchor — adds tactile weight, becomes the room's primary stone register. Ten marble options span dramatic dark (Marquina Black) to bright (Super White) to exotic (Oriental Wave). For high-use lounge registers (drinks, books, daily contact), glass is more forgiving; for statement pieces where the table itself is the focal element, marble has more visual presence.

Match the room's broader hardware register. Polished Gold reads warm-tone luxury — pairs with V-King hardware, Goddess gold lighting. Polished Chrome reads cool contemporary. Bronze is the matte mid-tone. Moonlight is the cool-tone metallic, distinct from chrome's high shine — more silver-grey. Moonlight is rare in the Versace Home catalogue (also offered on the Tholos table id 39961's steel detail) — specify Moonlight for contemporary cool-palette interiors where chrome would feel too bright. The fluted column base and the chosen top finish are independent of the metal Medusa finish.

Both share the fluted-column reference — coffee table base and lamp diffuser both render the Greek Acropolis citadel's columns into Versace Home form. Specify matching metal-base finishes across coffee table and floor lamp (polished Gold + polished Gold, polished Chrome + polished Chrome) for a coordinated Acropolis installation. The lamp's mouth-blown Murano glass diffuser comes in glossy white, Caramel marble effect, or Pink marble effect; the coffee table's top comes in 5 glass options or 10 marble options. Specify glass on both lamp and coffee table for a glass-coordinated register, or mix marble coffee top + glossy white lamp for material contrast.
