With its organic base, made entirely of solid wood, the Rio Ipanema collection by Bruno Moinard would blend perfectly with the mosaics of the Ipanema garden in Rio de Janeiro, created by Brazilian landscape architects, promoting the 'city nature' concept, which is entirely contemporary. The Rio Ipanema bookcase, like a stack of stones, plays with the arrangement of organic elements reminiscent of driftwood and lacquered shelves that evoke pebbles that are still damp.

This bookcase features carefully aligned rotating vertical vanes. Each vane can be opened or closed to create symmetrical or more free compositions.

Towards the end of the 1960s, metal began to gain prominence in the world of furniture. Several modular shelving systems with round tubes existed but faced issues with connectors that were either unattractive or unstable. In 1967, Bernard FISCHLER asked Joe COLOMBO, with whom he had a strong friendship, to take on the challenge using a structure with 13mm diameter chrome tubes. Joe designed an aluminum die-cast connector that uniquely expels air from the tubes to ensure support and stability....

A blend of 1950s influences and Asian inspiration, Sacha Lakic's Celta bookcase features a walnut structure whose softened, graphic lines sculpt space with lightness. It plays with the contrasts of the wall, and its tapered shelves are enlivened by oblique book supports.
