Oblique | Cabinet Low

Oblique is the name of the chest of drawers that DRAW Studio designed for Ceccotti Collezioni in 2020. The reason for the name lies in the slight inclination of the fronts and the drawers: a construction choice indicative of an experimental design aimed both at dematerialising the handle and integrating it in the frames, and aligning the front of the piece of furniture with the edge. Design and compactness go hand-in-hand in Oblique. The drawer can be made more functional with an internal divider and personalised with leather or fabric lining. A lot of attention is also focused on the choice of materials. The frame and base are in solid American walnut, while the doors, sides and fronts of the drawers are in walnut, rosewood, ebony, leather or matt lacquer. The top is available in fine marble, coloured glass or wood. The result is a product that embodies the Ceccotti Collezioni style: elegant but never showy.
