Marcio Kogan

The partnership between Minotti and Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan began in 2017.

Marcio Kogan approached the world of architecture and opened the Studio MK27 in São Paolo at the end of the seventies: volcanic and rigorous, attentive to the pure volumes and simple shapes of his designs, as well as the details and finishes, he favors open, squared architectures - which aesthetically and stylistically merge in and out - characterized by floor-to-ceiling windows that erase the boundary with the outdoors.

With a design style inspired by nature, the warm woods of his homeland, and the clean lines of his architectural works, in 2018, he created the Quadrado outdoor seating system for Minotti, approaching the world of design with brilliance for the first time. The year 2022 saw the continuation of the research into geometry and the relationship between forms and materials with the Horizonte seating system, which evolved in 2023 into the Horizonte Bed project, accompanied by the Superblocks series of storage elements: straight lines and squared volumes that make each furnishing piece a small piece of architecture. The skilful and combined use of different materials also characterizes the Trio armchair, designed by Marcio Kogan for the 2024 Collection, from which the Trio Outdoor version for open-air spaces also takes shape.
