Founded as C&B Italia
Piero Ambrogio Busnelli founds the company in joint venture with Cesare Cassina under the name C&B Italia, in Novedrate (Como), Italy. The new venture introduces cold-moulded polyurethane foam to the home-furniture sector.
The minimalist Ayana small table for outdoor use combines a natural teakwood round-section frame with an oval top in serpentine, a stone typical of the Alps. It forms part of a collection that includes a dining table, a chair, an armchair and a line of sofas, all characterised by a green soul. The teakwood used for the frames is FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified and all the materials that make up the various elements of the series are designed to be separated and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner at the end of the product’s life cycle.
B&B Italia's wood components are sourced through the FSC® Chain-of-Custody licence FSC-C142045 — a chain that documents wood from sustainably managed forests through to the finished piece.
B&B Italia's manufacturing operations are covered by an ISO 9001 quality-management certification — the international standard for documented quality management systems.
