Pianca Calatea is an armchair designed by Cristina Celestino. It takes inspiration from the calatea plant native to South America and uses organic volumes, bold proportions, and vivid colors drawn from the plant’s natural palette. The design brings together botany and ergonomics in an enveloping form.
Calatea received a Special Mention at the German Design Award 2019. Pianca also previewed a special green version for the opening of Green Pea, redesigned according to circular economy criteria.
